In two days the world’s first Muay Thai Expo will debut its artistry to the world. Hosted by the Sports Authority of Thailand, the four day long event will take place in conjunction with Thailand’s first ever MotoGP.
The Muay Thai Expo is now setting up the stage for the highly decorated fight card on 05 October, in addition to the Muay Boran, and Wai Kru performances that are scheduled for the duration of the event. There will more than 100 professional Muay Thai Fighters coming to the Expo to take part in the festivities.
At total of eight nations will join together to complete the 11 fight card. The fight that everyone is talking about, is the rematch between Tawanchai PK Saenchaimuaythaigym and Kulabdam Sor.Jor.Piek-U-Thai. After a thrilling initial encounter at Lumpinee Stadium just last month, fight fans nationwide have been asking for an encore.
The pair first met at 136lbs, with Tawanchai taking the decision victory in a highly competitive affair. This time they will be tipping the scales at a whooping 140lbs, with the new weight highly favouring the Surin native, Kulabdam.
A detailed schedule of events will be released shortly via the Expo’s Facebook page. On the final day of festivities, Thai pop music group BNK48 will be performing a mini concert for those in attendance.
