It amazes me when I meet people who’ve studied Thai language or who are studying Thai language that throw out these cute little tongue twisting phrases that mean absolutely nothing in every day life. I suspect studying those phrases is fun but I also gather it would be much more fun if they could actually have a conversation with someone who’s Thai. I have no idea where these people are studying Thai language. I’m just glad I sidestepped those institutions.
Behold Learn Thai Podcast. Their free resources are stellar. Their paid curriculum looks as good as it gets. Should I decide to learn to read and write Thai language, other than the ever important words – sugar, baht (Thai currency), Buriram, the number one and my (first) name, or rather the Thai version of my first name (Lola), I’m going to them.
