Hotel Review: THE VASIDTEE CITY HOTEL, SUPHANBURI, THAILAND

Conveniently located across from the Suphanburi bus station, I arrived on a whim. The bus I was hoping to catch to Kanchanaburi had stopped running and I needed a convenient place to crash for the night. The Vasidtee City Hotel was a treat. From the moment I walked in until the moment I left it was perfect.

The Staff

Outgoing, helpful and friendly.

The Room

A modern cosmic love spot. Red lights in the bedroom, blue in the bathroom, all accomplished without seediness. The room was large and clean, the bed comfortable. Very unique. I loved it.

The Food

The buffet breakfast had a variety of options, standard to similar set ups at other hotels in Thailand. Thai and Western options available, including cereal. The dining room was bright. A nice experience first thing in the morning.

The Immediate Neighbourhood

As I was only in Suphanburi for a handful of hours before I retired to the hotel, I didn’t get the chance to deeply investigate the neighbourhood. I really only looked for dinner (despite the hotel having a restaurant). And found it. What I saw in the immediate neighbourhood: a 7-Eleven, bars and restaurants, a bakery, small stores and a hair salon. (Note: most places were closed by the time I arrived).

Would I Visit This Hotel Again?

Definitely.

About Laura Dal Farra

After a six month adventure training Muay Thai in Thailand in 2007, Laura Dal Farra returned to her native Canada, sold most of what she owned, and boarded a plane set for Bangkok alone. She spent the next 3.5 years training in traditional Muay Thai gyms, pushing her limits, and embracing the unknown. Realizing little was being written on the subject, she began to blog about it. Laura Dal Farra is the founder of Milk.Blitz.Street.Bomb.
