The Rabiangmuk Hotel is a fairly new addition to the city of Mukdahan and I was happy to know of it, as I made my way into the city long after its citizens seemed to retire the night of my initial stay. The attendant was incredibly polite and friendly and quickly showed me to my room.
The Room(s)
I stayed at The Rabiangmuk twice on the same trip, once on my way to Laos and then again, on my way return to Thailand. Each room was warmly lit, spacious, elegant, and clean with floor to ceiling balcony doors. Each room included a balcony, with a wooden bench – a perfect spot for me to enjoy my finds at the night market which about a ten minute walk away.
The Food
Breakfast consisted of free coffee and homemade-style (Thai) doughnuts offered in the adjoining cafe. Everything was fresh and the cafe was a nice, cozy spot.
The Amenities
The Rabiangmuk Hotel offers the use of bicycles, free of charge. I found out about this, because after asking for directions, a member of the staff offered me one. Bonus points on this one. I’ll double that for the level of customer service at the hotel.
The Neighbourhood
The hotel is within walking distance of both the nightly street market and the river market. The latter is fairly large and can easily provide a half day of investigating. Local products as well as those from Laos are available. I personally liked Mukdahan and The Rabiangmuk so much, I decided to spend an additional night there on my way back to Buriram from Laos.
Would I Go Back Again?
Definitely.

Hi Richard (and Nathida),
Thank you so much for the invitation to coffee. I’m actually presently in Canada and don’t know when I’ll be in Buriram next. Your kindness is greatly appreciated. All the best!
