It’s catch up date time and here I am, letting you in on all of the changes you regulars have been noticing on MBSB. First, some mood music (less the incredibly violent nature of the video):
Now let’s begin…
Sponsored posts have made appearances on the site and may continue to do so. What is a sponsored post? A sponsored post is essentially content a brand pays for to be on a website. Payment may be in the form of cash, products and/or services. Sponsored posts may also come in the form of a review. How will you know if a post on MBSB is sponsored? You’ll see this at the top of it:
This is a Sponsored Post.
No B/S, no hiding out, no goofy sales tactics, no Hey! I’m going to tell you how cool this product is although I want to burn it to oblivion to save anyone the pain of using it, and absolutely no embellishing the truth. I can’t stand posing, so there will be none of that on the site. I’m maintaining the integrity of Milk.Blitz.Street.Bomb. while creating revenue to let this baby ride on. Want to run a sponsored post or learn more about the parameters of how I’m doing it? Please allow me to direct you to MBSB’s Sponsorship Guidelines.
The next order of business – the ads you currently see strategically placed in various locations on Milk.Blitz.Street.Bomb. I’m playing around with them, their placement, and their colours. I have no idea if they’re going to stay, and if they do, how many you’ll see. I’m checking in on my stats regularly, figuring out what works, what doesn’t, and I’ll make decisions based on it all. I’ve really thought about this for a long time now – do I run ads, do I not? The ideal situation is to run them, have them be aesthetically pleasing while offering services and products useful to you. Is this possible? I’m giving it a few months to figure it all out.
So why am I writing all of this? Why not just do it and stay silent?
Because you people matter to me, particularly you regulars out there who’ve been showing up time and time again. And those of you who’ve signed up for email updates. And those of you who drop in to say hello via your chosen platform…..you know who you are. And if you don’t, assume you’re one of us – meaning a member of the MBSB community. Thank-you for your support and if all goes well, generating some revenue on MBSB will facilitate growth and allow me to continue to deliver interesting and resourceful content indefinitely. It can be a win win situation for all of us.
I’m very excited to have both Frances and Lindsey contribute to the site. Expect to see new pieces by both of them in the near future. In addition, I’m working with some fresh writers to MBSB to bring you a slew of new content. Lots of change and a lot of possibilities.
Moving forward. Yeah!
